Large Butter Sugar Cookie

 Frosted Sugar Cookie made with butter and gluten free flour, baked in a six inch baking pan, recipe makes two six inch cookies…

Ingredients

  • 1 cup gluten free all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten with fork
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375°, spray two 6 inch round baking pan with cooking spray, set aside.
  • In a medium mixing bowl add the butter and sugar, cream together, add the egg and vanilla mix together.
  • Add the flour and baking powder, mix everything together until well blended.
  • Divide dough in half and place one half in to prepared baking pan, spread in pan evenly.
  • Bake in preheated oven for about 12 minutes. Repeat with other half of dough, if you only have one 6 inch pan. Set on cooling rack.
  • When completely cooled, frost. Mix together the powdered sugar and milk, frosting will be thick, but spreadable. Add a drop of milk if needed.
  • Cut cookies in to 8 wedges each. Serve and Enjoy!
