Banana Cream Cheese Swirl Cake
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup regular or gluten free flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 1 large mashed banana
- 1 egg slightly beaten with a fork
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- Cream Cheese Filling Ingredients
- 4 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons regular or gluten free flour
Directions
- Preheat oven 350° and Spray a 7 inch round cake pan with cooking spray.
- In a medium mixing bowl add one egg and mashed banana, and sugar mix together with a fork.
- Mix in the oil and milk, fold in the flour, salt, and baking soda, mix with a fork until blended
- Add batter to prepared baking pan set aside.
- Cream Cheese Filling Directions
- In a small mixing bowl cream together the cream cheese and sugar.
- Beat in one egg with a fork, Mix in the 2 tablespoons flour, blend all together.
- Pour cream cheese mixture on top of the batter in cake pan, swirl around with a butter knife.
- Bake in a preheated 350° oven for about 45-50 minutes, (insert knife or toothpick in center and it comes out clean).
- Place on cooling rack to cool. Top with your favorite frosting or glaze if you like.
