Shredded Chicken Gravy over Biscuits
Ingredients
- 4 fully cooked boneless chicken thighs, (I cooked in slow cooker)
- 1 tablespoon your favorite seasoning blend
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon poultry season
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 3 tablespoons regular or gluten free flour
- 2 cups chicken stock
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 large cheddar and green onion biscuits, Recipe
Directions
- In a medium sauce pot add shredded chicken, all the seasonings, the flour, and mix everything to coat shredded chicken completely.
- Turn burner on medium, add the chicken stock and butter stirring constantly, as the liquid starts to heat it will thicken.
- Keep stirring until hot and thick, turn off the heat.
- Cut biscuits in half, lengthwise, set on a plate or bowl, spoon hot chicken and gravy over the biscuits, add salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve with your favorite vegetables, Serves 4. Enjoy!
