Skillet Dark Chocolate Chunk Walnut Cookie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup regular or gluten free flour
  • Pinch of baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten with fork
  • 1/8 cup sugar
  • 1/8 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/8 cup cooking oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla flavor
  • 1/8 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chunks

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Prepare a 6 inch iron skillet, cover bottom and sides with shortening or cooking oil.
  • In a small mixing bowl add egg, oil, sugars, and vanilla, mix together.
  • Add the flour, salt, and baking soda to the wet ingredients, stir in completely.
  • Stir in the walnuts and chocolate chunks.
  • Spread batter in to the prepared iron skillet.
  • Bake in the preheated 350° oven for about 20 minutes.
  • Be careful skillet handle is HOT! Use a thick pot holder. Place on cooling rack, serve warm or cooled.
  • Add a scoop of ice cream and Enjoy!
