Orange Marmalade Scones
Ingredients
- 1 cup gluten free flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup orange marmalade
- 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 egg
- extra marmalade when serving
- *Make sure to choose gluten free ingredients to make it gluten free!
Directions
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl cream together with a fork the butter, sour cream, and marmalade.
- Add egg and beat everything together with a fork.
- Add the flour mix to wet ingredients, completely blend together.
- Form dough into a ball.
- Sprinkle some flour on a piece parchment, wax paper, or counter top.
- Place dough ball on sprinkled flour, pat and turn to coat with flour, until it is not sticking.
- Pat dough down to about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick, make a circle, fold in half and pat dough into a circle again, repeat one more time.
- Cut dough circle with a knife into about about 8 wedges.
- Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray, place wedges on cookie sheet.
- Bake in a preheated oven @ 380° oven for about 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown.
- Brush with orange marmalade while hot, transfer to cooling rack, serve with butter and extra marmalade. Enjoy!
