Walnut Cake
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup regular or gluten free all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°, spray a 6 or 7 inch round baking pan with cooking spray, set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl, add the egg, sugar, cooking oil, milk, and vanilla extract, mix everything together until blended.
- Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda and mix in completely, fold in the chopped walnuts.
- Pour batter in to the prepared baking pan, Bake for about 25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Set on a cooling rack, after completely cooled frost with you favorite frosting, sprinkle with chopped walnuts if you like. Serve and Enjoy!
