Sour Cream Almond Coffee Cake
Cake Ingredients
- 3/4 cup regular or gluten free all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
Topping Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- 1-2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°, spray an 8 inch square baking dish with cooking spray, set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl add eggs, sugar, sour cream, cooking oil, and almond extract and mix together completely.
- Add the flour, baking powder, and baking soda, beat everything together.
- Pour batter into prepared baking dish, Mix together topping ingredients and sprinkle evenly on top of batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick entered in the center comes out clean.
- Transfer to a cooling rack, let cool and sift powdered sugar on top, if you like. Cut and Serve, Enjoy!
