Chocolate Cake Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup regular or gluten free all purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons baking cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • Peanut Butter Chocolate Spread, Frosting, or Hazelnut Spread
  • Peanut Butter eggs, or Jelly Beans, or M&M’s to decorate top, if you like.

Directions

  • Plug in and heat up mini waffle maker, brush with oil.
  • Mix together egg and milk, cooking oil, yogurt, stir in flour, baking cocoa, baking powder, and baking soda, beat with fork until blended together.
  • Pour batter in heated waffle maker, cook for about 3-4 minutes, try not to over cook, it’s a little hard to tell because they are chocolate. Set on cooling rack.
  • Repeat with remaining batter, should make 6 chocolate cake waffles.
  • Frost after cooled with peanut butter spread and decorate, if you like. Enjoy!
