Chocolate Chip Banana Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup gluten free or regular flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch salt
- 1 egg
- 1 large ripe banana mashed
- 1/3 cup butter or shortening
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or more to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°. Spray an 8 or 9 inch square baking pan with cooking spray, set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl cream together the sugars and butter, add and mix together the egg, mashed banana, and vanilla.
- Add the dry ingredients mix everything completely together. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter in the prepared baking pan, Bake in 350° oven for about 22-24 minutes.
- Cool on hot pad or cooling rack, after cooled cut into 16 squares and serve. Enjoy!
