Spicy Cranberry Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

  • 6-8 frozen lightly breaded fully cooked chicken tenders, thawed, I use “Just Bare” brand
  • 1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lower sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey bbq sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1-2 pinches crushed red pepper flakes, more or less to your taste

Directions

  • On medium heat in a skillet add all the ingredients and stir to blend everything completely. Bring to a boil.
  • Place the thawed breaded chicken tenders in the sauce.
  • Turn heat down to low/medium.
  • Carefully turn tenders several times to coat with sauce.
  • Turn burner to simmer for a few minutes, until sauce starts to thicken.
  • Take skillet off heat, set on a hot pad. Serve with a side of white rice and a vegetable. Enjoy!
