Ground Beef & Mushrooms Sour Cream Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground beef, browned
  • 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 15 ounces beef broth, lower sodium
  • 1 tablespoon umami mushroom seasoning blend, or you favorite blend
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch mixed with about 3 tablespoons water, for thickening
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • In a large skillet on medium heat brown ground beef, drain grease if needed.
  • Add olive oil and butter and sliced mushrooms, cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Add beef broth and seasonings let cook another 5 minutes, pour in the cornstarch water mix, stir.
  • After thickened turn heat to low and add sour cream stir until everything is blended.
  • Heat through, turn off heat and spoon over mashed potatoes and serve. Serves about 2 or 3. Enjoy!
