Ground Beef & Mushrooms Sour Cream Gravy
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground beef, browned
- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 15 ounces beef broth, lower sodium
- 1 tablespoon umami mushroom seasoning blend, or you favorite blend
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons corn starch mixed with about 3 tablespoons water, for thickening
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- In a large skillet on medium heat brown ground beef, drain grease if needed.
- Add olive oil and butter and sliced mushrooms, cook for about 5 minutes.
- Add beef broth and seasonings let cook another 5 minutes, pour in the cornstarch water mix, stir.
- After thickened turn heat to low and add sour cream stir until everything is blended.
- Heat through, turn off heat and spoon over mashed potatoes and serve. Serves about 2 or 3. Enjoy!
