Shrimp Alfredo Fettuccine
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound fully cooked peeled and deveined large shrimp
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of your favorite seasoning blend
- 1 cup half and half
- 1/3 cup shredded parmesan
- salt and pepper to taste
- 6 ounces fettuccine pasta, cooked to package directions
- chopped fresh or dried parsley
Directions
- Turn burner on low medium heat, set a skillet on burner, add butter and olive oil, after butter is melted add flour and whisk to mix together, cook for a minute, to make a light color roux, don’t burn.
- Slowly pour in half and half, keep whisking to blend and thicken, remove from heat.
- Add the seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir in shredded parmesan cheese. Turn heat to low, add the cooked shrimp, heat through.
- Turn off the heat, fold in the pasta. Serve, top with more parmesan if you like. Serves 3-4. Enjoy!
