Bacon Fried Cabbage
Ingredients
- 1 small head cabbage, sliced into strips
- 4 thick slices bacon, fried in large skillet, save drippings, and set on paper lined plate
- 3 green onions sliced, separate white and green
- 2 teaspoons light brown sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Turn burner on medium heat, place the large skillet with bacon drippings on burner, add the sliced white part of onions and the sliced cabbage to skillet.
- Sprinkle the light brown sugar over cabbage.
- Toss cabbage several times, set a lid on skillet and turn burner to medium low, let cook for about 20 minutes until tender, stir occasionally, so not to burn.
- Cut up bacon into pieces, add to cabbage and toss to heat thru.
- Serve with green onion slices on top, Enjoy!
