Small Yogurt Cake
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup regular or gluten free all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup butter or shortening
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup low fat vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or almond flavor
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°, spray an 7 inch round baking pan with cooking spray, set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl cream together the shortening and sugar, add the egg, flavoring and yogurt, mix for about a minute with a hand mixer.
- Mix in the flour, baking powder, and baking soda, pour batter into prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes in preheated oven, or until a toothpick entered in the middle comes out clean.
- Set on cooling rack, cool completely, frost with your favorite homemade or store bought frosting. Serve and Enjoy!
