Magic Christmas Cookie Bars
Magic Cookie Bars or Hello Dollies
There are many variations of these cookie bars, some use just semi sweet chocolate chips, part butterscotch chips, or even heath toffee baking bits. This is how I made these cookies bars this Christmas.
Magic Cookie Bars or Hello Dollies
- 1 & 1/2 cups walnut flour (or graham cracker crumbs)
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 can, 14 ounce sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup shredded coconut (I use unsweetened)
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 6 ounces regular or Christmas M&Ms
Preheat oven @ 350°. Place the butter in a 13×9 baking pan, set in oven just to melt the butter.
Take out pan and add walnut flour or (graham cracker crumbs) on top of butter, mix and spread evenly on bottom of pan.
Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly on the crumb mixture.
Next add pecans, coconut, chocolate chips, and last the M&Ms.
Gently press down with a fork or spoon on top of the layers. (This helps everything to come together evenly with the sweetened condensed milk.)
Bake for about 25 minutes. Should be a golden color.
Cool and slice into squares. Enjoy!
