Choco Mallow Logs

Choco Mallo Logs that’s what I call them, a recipe I have made since our high school Home Economics class made the recipe, many moons ago. We used white mini marshmallows.

Some people call them church window cookies or candy, if they are using colored mini marshmallows they look like a stain glass church window when you slice them. I decided to use the colored marshmallows this time.

Choco Mallow Logs

  • 6 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 10 ounce bag mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • Powdered sugar
  • Wax paper

In a medium size bowl melt butter in microwave.

Add the chocolate chips stir, return to microwave for about 20 more seconds take out and stir again, if chocolate isn’t completely melted return for a few more seconds. Don’t allow it to get too hot.

Add beaten egg to chocolate stir briskly to mix.

Add marshmallows and nuts stir and fold until all ingredients are covered.

Sprinkle powdered sugar on a large piece wax paper pour half of mixture on wax paper form into a log about 8 to 10 inches long. Roll up the log in the wax paper, twist close the ends, repeat with other half of mixture and refrigerate logs for a couple of hours.

Slice when ready to serve.
