Blackened Chicken Tenderloins
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless chicken tenderloins
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- Blackened seasoning store bought if you like or
- Blackened seasoning you can mix yourself
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, more or less as you like, for heat
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
Directions
- Mix all the seasonings together.
- Turn burner on medium, In a skillet add the olive oil.
- When skillet and oil is hot add chicken.
- Sprinkle seasoning on chicken, turn over and sprinkle seasoning on other side of chicken.
- Keep turning chicken so not to burn, but so seasonings give the blackened look.
- Cook until chicken is cooked through.
- Turn burner heat down to low if needed.
- Note: Put seasoning mix in a ziplock bag and add chicken and shake to coat; if needed double the seasoning mix to cover chicken.
- Serve plain or with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!
