Blackened Chicken Tenderloins

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless chicken tenderloins
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • Blackened seasoning store bought if you like or
  • Blackened seasoning you can mix yourself
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, more or less as you like, for heat
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme

Directions

  • Mix all the seasonings together.
  • Turn burner on medium, In a skillet add the olive oil.
  • When skillet and oil is hot add chicken.
  • Sprinkle seasoning on chicken, turn over and sprinkle seasoning on other side of chicken.
  • Keep turning chicken so not to burn, but so seasonings give the blackened look.
  • Cook until chicken is cooked through.
  • Turn burner heat down to low if needed.
  • Note: Put seasoning mix in a ziplock bag and add chicken and shake to coat; if needed double the seasoning mix to cover chicken.
  • Serve plain or with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!
