Au Gratin Potatoes with Ham

Ingredients

  • 5 medium sized potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
  • 1-2 cups cut up diced ham
  • 6 ounces cubed velveeta cheese
  • 2 ounces (or more) shredded cheddar cheese for top
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 stick cold butter, sliced thin
  • 1 cup milk
  • dried parsley to sprinkle on top, optional
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375°, spray a medium baking dish (about 9×7) with cooking spray.
  • Sprinkle a layer of flour in baking dish, next place a layer of sliced potatoes, then add sliced butter, ham, and velveeta cheese, repeat, about 3 layers total. End with shredded cheese on top, sprinkle with parsley if you like.
  • Pour milk evenly over everything, tilt baking dish from side to side to incorporate milk in to the layers.
  • Place baking dish on a cookie sheet set in oven to Bake @375° for about 1&1/2 hours.
  • Take out of oven and place on cutting board or cooling rack, let sit for about 10 minutes before cutting serving.
  • Serve as a side dish or as a main dish with a side of your favorite veggies or a salad. Enjoy!
