Spaghetti Sauce with Italian Sausage Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground Italian sausage
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs or quick oats
- 1 – 24 ounce jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 12 ounces pasta cooked to package directions
Directions
- Place ground Italian sausage, egg, onion powder, garlic powder, bread crumbs or quick oats, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper, mix all ingredients together completely.
- Roll in to about 14 meatballs. Brown on each side, in a skillet on medium heat with olive oil.
- Add spaghetti sauce to slow cooker, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper to taste, stir, and place meatballs in the sauce. Cover and cook on high for about 4 hours. Stir occasionally.
- Serve over your favorite pasta. Sprinkle or grate extra parmesan cheese on top.
- Serves about 4. Enjoy!
