Ground Turkey Meat Sauce over Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 jar pasta sauce, about 24 ounces
  • 4 ounces fresh or canned mushrooms
  • 12-16 ounce pasta, cooked to package directions, regular or gluten free
  • Grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Tip: Extra Italian seasoning, basil, and onions can be added to meat sauce to spice it up!

Directions

  • Turn burner on medium heat, in a large skillet or pan with a lid, add olive oil and ground turkey.
  • Brown ground turkey, add pasta sauce, and mushrooms, stir and mix together. Cover with lid.
  • Turn heat down to low/simmer and cook for about 20 minutes.
  • Stir occasionally, make sure meat sauce is not sticking.
  • Turn off heat. Serve over cooked pasta, top with grated parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
