Italian Parmesan Herb Bread

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup room temperature water, plus 1 tablespoon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 & 3/4 cups unbleached flour or bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast

Directions

  • Place all the ingredients into the bread machine in the order listed.
  • Choose the 1 pound loaf, French Bread style on the menu, and light or medium crust setting (I used medium).
  • When loaf is done, use pot holders to take out the pan and turn over shake out bread.
  • Set on a cooling rack, slice either hot or cooled. Enjoy!
  • Don’t forget the butter.
