Gluten Free Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 cup gluten free flour (measure for measure – King Arthur)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup milk (mixed with the apple cider vinegar, set aside)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, to brush over the top of hot biscuits
  • * Be sure to choose gluten free ingredients to make it gluten free.

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400°, spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray set aside.
  • In a medium mixing bowl mix add flour, baking powder, and pinch of salt, mix together.
  • Pour in milk mixture, and melted butter, stir everything together to completely blend. Dough should not be crumbly or to sticky.
  • If mixture looks to sticky sprinkle in a tablespoon more of flour.
  • Roll about 4 or 5 balls, flatten and shape in hand. Set on cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in preheated 400° oven for about 12 minutes, a light golden color. Rub or brush butter on top to cover hot biscuits.
  • Transfer to cooling rack serve hot or cooled with butter, jam, or gravy. Enjoy!
