Gluten Free Biscuits
Ingredients
- 1 cup gluten free flour (measure for measure – King Arthur)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup milk (mixed with the apple cider vinegar, set aside)
- 1 tablespoon butter, to brush over the top of hot biscuits
- * Be sure to choose gluten free ingredients to make it gluten free.
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°, spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl mix add flour, baking powder, and pinch of salt, mix together.
- Pour in milk mixture, and melted butter, stir everything together to completely blend. Dough should not be crumbly or to sticky.
- If mixture looks to sticky sprinkle in a tablespoon more of flour.
- Roll about 4 or 5 balls, flatten and shape in hand. Set on cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in preheated 400° oven for about 12 minutes, a light golden color. Rub or brush butter on top to cover hot biscuits.
- Transfer to cooling rack serve hot or cooled with butter, jam, or gravy. Enjoy!
